The 48 Hour Film Project is Back!!!
The 2009 Albuquerque 48 Hour Film Project will take place July 10-12, and registration opens May 14!
The 48 Hour Film Project is a great opportunity to flex your creative muscles, hone your production skills, and test your mental mettle.
HERE'S HOW IT WORKS! In one wild, sleepless weekend, you and your A-Team will make a movie--write, shoot, edit and score it. From scratch. In 48 hours. On Friday, July 10, you'll draw your genre from the cruel hat of fate. You'll then get a character, prop, and line of dialogue to include in your movie. Forty eight hours later, on Sunday, July 12, the movie must be complete.
All films will then be shown on the big screen at The KiMo Theatre!
WHAT CAN I WIN?
The winning Albuquerque film will win a trophy and a copy of Movie Magic Screenwriter Software. This team will also compete against other city winners for a chance to win a Panasonic HPX 170 HD camera and $3000!
The Albuquerque Winner will be also be screened at Filmapalooza, the official 48HFP Awards Weekend, at NAB (National Association of Broadcasters) Convention in Las Vegas.
And, if that's not enough, you have a chance of being one of the top city winning films which will screen at Cannes Film Festival!
