Cinnafilm, Inc., an engineering software firm dedicated to the development of powerful, reliable and intuitive film and video post production tools for creative professionals, today announced it has signed a multi-year, multi-million dollar global reseller agreement with ARRI, the world’s leading manufacturer of professional motion picture equipment.

The agreement gives ARRI the worldwide rights to market and resell Cinnafilm’s high-performance image processing software suite, leveraging its powerful GPU-based motion estimation engine, Pixel Strings™. Newly christened as ARRI Relativity, this groundbreaking software suite provides unprecedented levels of power and performance for professional-grade format conversion, retiming, film simulation, degraining and texture control—innovative technology co-developed with Digital Film Central—all on a single workstation.

A technology launch event is scheduled to take place on June 2, 2009 in the Los Angeles area and will be open to press and industry professionals by invitation only.
