Hollywood Story Coach Offers Class in Santa Fe

SANTA FE – The Film Apprenticeship Programs Inc., a nonprofit offering film training, announces its class Patrick A. Horton/The Story Coach - Practical Magic: The Story of Transformation & The Transformation of Story, Aug. 8, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., at the Spirit Production Compound, 10 Rudy Rodriquez Dr., in Santa Fe.

Patrick A. Horton, Ph.D., is best known in the media industry, academia settings and the professional speaking/corporate worlds as “The Story Coach,” providing empowering workshops and seminars for those working in and or seeking to influence the media and other communications dependent industries. As a coach for writers, directors, actors and producers, Horton also works with change agents, and has been an effective contributor to media industry panels and a frequent presenter for studios, organizations and guilds.

He will talk about the power of story and how it relates both personally and professional to those working in film and will sketch an effective life arc in developing story or other projects from concept to production.

The seminar is sponsored by the Film Apprenticeship Programs Inc. Based in Santa Fe, FAPI offers classroom and on-the-job training for those interested in working in the film industry. FAPI acts as a bridge from the classroom to the film set. It also offers film training throughout the state throughout the year.
