We're an Official Sponsor of the Santa Fe Film Festival!

We're proud to announce that crewnewmexico.com is an official sponsor of the 9th Annual Santa Fe Film Festival! Though the lineup won't be announced until November, we know that its going to be an excellent roster of films - pop, art-house, documentary, comedy, blockbusters, little-known shorts, foreign films, and more! It's our pleasure to be able to support a world-renowned, industry-related event, and its also our way of promoting our homegrown New Mexico Film Industry while all eyes are on Santa Fe, and New Mexico.

The New Mexico Film Industry is something we're proud of. crewnewmexico.com works hard to promote New Mexico Film as a world-class film destination, and this is just another way that we help support the industry that supports us. The festival always needs volunteers, so feel free to contact them to offer your time!

Val Kilmer's Pecos River Ranch Pre-Production Training Facility and Retreat!

crewnewmexico.com would like to announce that Val Kilmer's Pecos River Ranch is opening its doors as a pre-production retreat and training facility. With its 6,000 acres and miles of riverfront, horses and stables, exclusive housing and proximity to Santa Fe, the Ranch is an excellent location for cast to come and train, relax, study and prepare for a shoot. Talent can come alone, and the Ranch can arrange for all services such as trainers, chefs, and assistants, or you're welcome to bring your crew. There is housing for up to 12 people in 4 different units. The accommodations are riverfront, secluded, and beautiful places to rest and relax.

The Ranch is a wide-open expanse of New Mexico, offering privacy, tranquility, and all the resources you'd need to prepare for a shoot - western or not, shooting in New Mexico or not. There's a gym, miles of hiking, stables, and all is just 22 miles from the arts and culture of Santa Fe, and 1.5 hours from Albuquerque.

And since the Ranch is also a filming location, its also an excellent place for above-the-line crew to come during pre-production, and for housing during the shoot as well.

We're thrilled to be a part of this new adventure!

Welcome New Film Location - Val Kilmer's Pecos River Ranch to crewnewmexico.com!

crewnewmexico.com would like to give a special welcome to Val Kilmer and his Pecos River Ranch as a New Mexico Film Location on crewnewmexico.com's New Mexico Location Database!

The Pecos River Ranch is a 6,000 acre expanse of classic New Mexico high desert/mountain terrain, with over 6 miles of Pecos River frontage winding through the property. Located at elevations between 6,500 and 7,500', just 22 miles north of Santa Fe, there are several different types of landscapes -- pastures and ranchland, mesa, scrubland, red-rock escarpments, and 6 miles of waterfront. There's forests of pinon and juniper and oak, and fields of wildflowers in season. Wildlife includes bear, deer, elk, coyote, wild turkeys, cougars, and a host of birds of prey. There are barns, stables, and corrals, and plenty of space for production animals to stay during filming.

There are also several entrances to the property to allow for production vehicles of all sizes. They offer production housing on the property for cast, producers and directors, and are a pre-production training facility (we'll write more about that in another post). The Ranch is available for still/advertising shoots, commercials, and feature film production. It's a simply amazing piece of land, and film location.
